We are looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer to join Coolbrook’s Delivery & Aftermarket team.

As Lead Electrical Engineer, you will be the Coolbrook’s expert in large-scale electrical systems, providing critical expertise to evaluate partner solutions, assess customer grid connections, and coordinate electrical aspects of delivery projects. You will play an important role in feasibility studies, customer engagement, and delivery execution, establishing the foundation for Coolbrook’s electrification solutions in industrial-scale process heating.

In this permanent role you will be based in Helsinki, Finland and report to the SVP, Delivery & Aftermarket, while collaborating with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
As Lead Electrical Engineer, your responsibilities would include
- Act as the primary electrical expert for Coolbrook, ensuring all electrical aspects of projects are properly evaluated and executed.
- Critically assess and challenge partner solutions for suitability, cost-effectiveness, and compliance.
- Evaluate customer power grid connections and propose modifications required to enable electrification with Coolbrook’s RDH.
- Support sales and feasibility stages by assessing electrical systems and engaging with customer electrical organizations.
- Participate in customer site visits to clarify requirements and validate system integration feasibility.
- Lead and coordinate power electronics in delivery projects, including supplier management and engineering partner collaboration.
- Oversee and coordinate basic and detailed electrical engineering activities.
- Ensure electrical designs and implementations comply with safety, quality, and performance standards.
- Provide technical leadership in resolving issues during design, delivery, and commissioning.
- Contribute to the development of internal electrical engineering practices and guidelines.
For success in this role, you will need
- Strong background in electrical engineering with proven expertise in industrial-scale systems.
- Experience with large-scale electrical motor applications (5+ MW) and Variable Speed Drive implementations.
- Understanding of power electronics, control/protection systems, and industrial site integration.
- Ability to evaluate customer power grid connections and identify modifications for electrification projects.
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with partners, customers, and internal teams.
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and manage suppliers in complex projects.
- Experience in feasibility analysis, customer interaction, and project delivery.
- High level of autonomy, initiative, and problem-solving capability.
